The Birmingham Social Media Club, a non-profit organization, is proactively encouraging graduating college students to contemplate careers in social media. A field that’s encountering soaring global demand, with more than 4.88 billion active users expecting refined content, optimization, and customer service regularly.
The club is organizing a complimentary workshop, “I’m about to Graduate, What’s Next?”, poised to provide budding professionals the requisite knowledge and resources for kick-starting their careers in social media.
According to Hailey Yeager, co-founder of the Birmingham Social Media Club, the notion of a social media professional is a relatively new phenomenon. Yeager acknowledges the inherent challenges budding professionals face when trying to navigate their post-college careers into this booming industry.
The workshop, thus, aims to equip students with not just the traditional interviewing skills, but also educate them on optimizing their social media presence and building impressive resumes.
The spirited workshop is scheduled for 5:30 pm Tuesday, at the heart of the city- REV Birmingham, located at 5529 1st Ave South, Birmingham.
