Birmingham, the heart of technological development in the Southeast, is all set to host the Sloss Tech 2024 on June 27-28. Bustling with excitement, the conference will witness the convergence of tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and emerging tech talent from across the region. Provided with an enviable platform to connect and exchange knowledge, participants are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an evolutionary conference for the city’s tech landscape.
Established in 2015, Sloss Tech is the brainchild of TechBirmingham and Telegraph Creative. It has cemented its status as the leading tech conference in downtown Birmingham. The conference heralds a two-day immersive experience designed to inspire, educate and connect tech enthusiasts within the region.
The upcoming 2024 edition witnesses Innovate Alabama as the presenting partner. A proactive public-private entity, Innovate Alabama has always centered its efforts on enhancing entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation.
Recognizing the extensive reach and impact of Sloss Tech, several notable organizations, such as Telegraph Creative, gener8tor, Endeavor, REV Birmingham, HICA (Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama) and Innovation Depot, have allied to expand the conference’s footprint in 2024.
Sloss Tech 2024 unveiled its exciting schedule on June 19 which features a myriad of sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities. The event’s highlight sessions include, among others, the Next in Tech Talent Development Lounge, the SSBCI Lounge, and the SEEK AL Experience, all presented by Innovate Alabama. The Endeavor Experience commenced by Endeavor, and the Birmingham Innovation Tour hosted by gener8tor is also expected to attract a lot of participants.
The 2024 edition will witness the introduction of the highly anticipated State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) by Innovate Alabama. The initiative aims to spur the growth of small businesses and startups within the state. Divided into two programs, LendAL and InvestAL, the SSBCI focuses on financing loan and venture capital initiatives. The state support for entrepreneurs is made possible through $98M in funding from the State of Alabama.
Designed to stimulate the economy and endorse a robust investment landscape, the SSBCI program presents an unparalleled opportunity for the state’s local businesses and entrepreneurs.
With this extensive lineup and influential policy introduction, Sloss Tech 2024 promises to be a landmark event within Birmingham’s tech-entrepreneur community.
