Get Ready for the Junior League of Birmingham’s Shop Save & Share Event

Birmingham residents, mark your calendars! The 19th annual Shop Save & Share fundraiser hosted by the Junior League of Birmingham is set to take place from October 16 to 27. This beloved community event offers a great opportunity to snag some fall essentials and early holiday gifts while also giving back to local initiatives.

What is Shop Save & Share?

At its core, Shop Save & Share is a simple, yet impactful shopping experience. For a mere $40, you can purchase a shopping card that grants you discounts of up to 20% and access to exclusive offers at over 300 retailers across the Greater Birmingham Area, which includes popular spots like Homewood, Hoover, Mountain Brook, and Vestavia Hills.

All profits from this fundraiser directly support the Junior League’s mission, which focuses on creating meaningful community impact through an array of community projects. Over the past 18 years, this event has raised more than $780,000, showcasing the generosity and commitment of the Birmingham community.

Your Purchase Makes a Difference

You might wonder how your $40 investment translates into positive change. According to the Junior League, the contributions from purchases help fund numerous community initiatives aimed at advancing volunteer action and leadership skills in women throughout the area.

As one representative stated, “The Shop Save & Share fundraiser is more than just a shopping event. By purchasing a discount card, you’re not only saving money. You are also supporting local businesses and investing in the future of our community. Together, we are building a better Birmingham.”

Participating Retailers and Restaurants

This year’s event features more than 300 retailers, though we can’t possibly list them all. Some noteworthy stores and eateries you might consider include popular shops in Mountain Brook, Hoover, and Trussville. In addition to retail discounts, many local restaurants and entertainment venues are also participating in the event, making it an extensive and rewarding shopping experience for every participant.

Kickoff Party Details

To kick off the festivities, the Junior League will host a Shop Save & Share Kickoff Party on Wednesday, October 16 from 5-7 PM in front of Mountain Brook City Hall. Attendees can enjoy small bites, drinks, and live music. This is also a great chance to purchase your shopping card directly at the event. As a special treat, the first 25 guests will receive a swag bag filled with goodies!

How to Get Involved

If you’re eager to join in, keep an eye out for details on where to buy your Shop Save & Share card, whether online or at various local retailers. With your shopping card in hand, not only will you be able to enjoy fantastic deals, but you’ll also be contributing to your community in a significant way.

Don’t forget—by participating in Shop Save & Share, you are supporting a movement dedicated to uplifting women leaders and enhancing community well-being. So, gather your friends, organize a shopping outing, and get ready to save while you share!
