Fairfield, AL – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night around 9 p.m. when a 73-year-old man was fatally struck while crossing a roadway. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Carl Edward Taylor, a resident of Birmingham.
The accident happened in the 6600 block of Aaron Aronov Drive. According to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates, Mr. Taylor was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and promptly called 911 to report the incident, initiating emergency response.”
