Monday Night Brewing in Birmingham Set to Get a New and Improved Outdoor Patio

In a vibrant city like Birmingham, Alabama, enjoying a finely brewed pint of beer in an outdoor setting is an experience many cherish. The city’s popular brewing establishment, Monday Night Brewing, has sought to enhance this experience and has just recently received approval to transform its outdoor patio into a space that promises more comfort and entertainment for its patrons.

Reimagining the Outdoor Space

Monday Night Brewing currently operates in the bustling Parkside District. The brewery initially moved to its current premises during the 2021 COVID-19 lockdown. Unfinished at the time of the move, the outdoor patio consisted essentially of a few picnic tables on a concrete foundation.

However, in a recent review meeting with the Birmingham Design Review Committee, Monday Night Brewing’s co-founder, Joel Iverson, unveiled plans to overhaul and upgrade the patio, reflecting the brewery’s commitment to provide customers with a more inviting space.

An Upgraded Patio to Look Forward To

The new design illustrations shared by Iverson showcased a number of amenities that the renovated patio is set to feature. These include green artificial turf, updated tables and seats, along with a retractable shade system. An elevated deck is also part of the design, conceived to provide a venue for a host of entertainment options.

Community Spaces and Quality Beer

In the brewing business, it’s not just about producing excellent beer, it’s also about fostering a community around it. Affirming this philosophy, Iverson stated, “We really view our spaces as community spaces. We love creating engaging and exciting spaces where people can enjoy being around other people.”

He further added, “Our purpose as a company is to deepen relationships over some of the best beer in the country. When you’re in a space that is well designed and thoughtful, it’s more conducive to essentially meeting our goal, which is really great beer and really great relationships.”

What’s Next?

Monday Night Brewing has revealed that the work on its new patio will commence this summer with plans to open by Fall. Patrons of the brewery have an exciting upgraded outdoor space to anticipate, an environment designed to enhance their enjoyment of the acclaimed beer on offer and deepen their engagement with the community that Monday Night Brewing continues to foster.
