Mason Music Fest all Set to Rock Birmingham on Friday Night

Birmingham locals are gearing up as Mason Music Fest is back for another year, serving as an event that brings the community together with a live one-day music festival for everyone to enjoy. This high-energy event is prepared to rock and roll on Friday, May 31, commencing at 4 p.m., with the main event starting at 5 p.m. Venue for the much-awaited musical bash is Avondale Brewing Co. located at 201 S 41st St, Birmingham.

Local Studios and Homegrown Artists Performing

Renowned for its role in the city’s vibrant music scene, Mason Music operates studios in various parts of Birmingham, including locations in Cahaba Heights, Bluff Park, Greystone, Mountain Brook Village, and Woodlawn. This year’s festival has curated an exciting and diverse lineup of performers that includes artists like Mountain Grass Unit, Kashus Culpepper, and Taylor Wilson. In a show of support for Mason Music’s students, two Rock Band League student bands will be opening the show.

The organizer is thrilled to bring this event to Avondale Brewing for the third consecutive year, featuring artists with Alabama roots. “We’ve moved the event earlier in the year to avoid the sweltering heat of late summer. We’re stoked to welcome these artists to the big stage,” expressed Will Mason, the owner of Mason Music.

Proceeds to Benefit Mason Music Foundation

General Admission tickets for the event are priced at $18, with preferred pit tickets available at $43. Highlighting a deep-rooted commitment to the local community, all proceeds from the event are set to benefit the Mason Music Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing music lesson scholarships to families qualifying for financial assistance.

Since its founding in 2012, Mason Music has proliferated across the city, offering private lessons in guitar, piano, voice, and drums for thousands of students of various ages and skill levels. Additional services provided by the studio include music camps, group lessons, Rock Band League, and retail merchandise, making Mason Music an integral part of the city’s artistic landscape.
