On September 18, key members of the Hoover Health Care Authority (HHCA), local city officials, and numerous supporters made the trip to Montgomery to seek approval for a Certificate of Need (CON) from the state. The request, which aims to facilitate the establishment of an ambulatory surgical center and diagnostic center, received a unanimous endorsement from the State Health Planning and Development Agency.
