In addition to speeding up the process, the ordinance changes will reduce the number of permit options from several to just one. Previously, vendors had to navigate multiple types of permits, which caused confusion and delays. This simplification is expected to make life easier not just for the vendors, but for the city officials too!

For just $200, food truck vendors can now secure a permit, compared to previous fees that ranged from $300 to $500 based on the type of permit they needed. Plus, the city will now conduct fire inspections instead of relying on outside entities, making the process more straightforward.

New Parking Rules for Food Trucks

But that’s not all! Food trucks will be able to park and operate at any metered space in the city, provided they follow existing regulations. Yes, that means they must steer clear of parking within 150 feet of any restaurant.
