True40, a fitness studio known for its high-intensity, low-impact exercises inspired by barre, functional strength training, Pilates, and yoga, is set to open their second Birmingham-area location at Homewood’s popular outdoor space, The Edge.
The Edge, located in the heart of Homewood at 815, 817, and 819 Greensprings Highway, has steadily gained popularity as an outdoor gathering space. It features a combination of food, drink, fitness, retail, and entertainment experiences, making it a go-to destination for the local community. The addition of True40 will add to the dynamic mix of the venue, filling 2,007 square feet within The Edge’s designated 5,000-square-foot space for fitness and retail.
The CEO of True40 Studio, Kaitlyn Bentley, expressed excitement at the prospect of opening their new location. She stated, “We have been waiting for the right fit for our next location, trusting it would reveal itself at the right time. The Edge is an amazing opportunity for us, and we love that we will be included in a mix of local owner operators. We are thrilled to bring the magic of our community for movement to the West Homewood area.”
Apart from the True40 Studio, The Edge hosts for a variety of tenants, including Corbeau Wine Bar, Baba Java Coffee, Popbar, The Standard, The Que*Bicle, Shin Ramen Noodle and Asian Cuisine, and Cookie Plug. J.J. Thomas, co-owner of The Edge, expressed his enthusiasm about True40 joining the roster of businesses, calling it a “great addition.”
Thomas acknowledged the active community in Homewood and how True40’s commitment to fostering health and inspiring movement aligns perfectly with their mission. “Homewood is an active community with a focus on fitness and True40’s commitment to fostering health and inspiring movement fits seamlessly with our mission to create a dynamic space where people can come together,” he said.
This expansion marks a significant stride for True40, which was originally founded in Auburn in 2016. The method has since won over fitness enthusiasts not only in Auburn but also in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. With this new location, True40 hopes to captivate even more fitness enthusiasts, adding to Homewood’s vibrant and active community.
