These films will not only entertain you but also shed light on pressing issues like the dangers of chemicals in our waters and the importance of taking care of our unique ecosystems. A Glimpse into the Documentaries

Back in June, the Alabama Rivers Alliance kicked off their Southern Exposure Film Fellowship, *selecting five skilled filmmakers* who got the chance to create these impactful documentaries. The films touch on various subjects aimed at ramping up awareness about our rich biodiversity and the steps we can all take to maintain it.

Some intriguing topics that will be covered include:

  • The significance of preserving Alabama’s biodiversity
  • The impacts of chemical pollutants in our waters
  • Solving environmental challenges while supporting our local economy

By showcasing these critical issues, the filmmakers hope to inspire the audience to take action and contribute positively to the environment.

These dedicated artists have not only made films for this event but have also worked on projects that encourage awareness about Alabama’s environmental factors. They aim to inspire viewers to get involved, whether it’s through education, community clean-ups, or advocacy for stronger environmental protections.
