Hey there, Chelsea! We’ve got some exciting news for you! As we step into this fall season, our little city is buzzing with new opportunities, businesses, and tasty treats. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming soon!
Are your wheels looking a bit dirty? Well, hang tight because Big Drip Auto Spa is gearing up to open right at 210 Atchison Parkway. This place is set to make your car shine like new! Want to be the very first to hear about their grand opening special events? Just text “BigDrip” to 22322 and you’ll be in the loop. Get those wheels ready!
Food lovers, rejoice! This fall, we’ll be welcoming the first charcuterie restaurant in Alabama, called Board in Birmingham. Nestled in the lovely Terrace at Greystone shopping center at 5426 U.S. 280, Suite 6, this spot is going to be all about delicious and perfectly crafted charcuterie boards. From trendy cheeses to savory meats and crunchy veggies, you’ll get to create your masterpiece! Corinne Sweet, the mastermind behind this cozy eatery, is aiming for a mid-September or October opening. You can enjoy a sit-down meal or take your board to go. Want to stay updated? Give them a call at 205-261-9853 or check out their Facebook page!
On a more serious note, Orlando Health has made a significant move by agreeing to purchase Brookwood Baptist Health. This is a big deal as Brookwood has been a staple in our community, providing quality health care through its many facilities, including the freestanding emergency department in Tattersall Park. Once this transition wraps up this fall, Orlando Health will manage daily operations while keeping its faith-based identity. It’s good to know our healthcare services are expanding and diversifying!
For all the fishing fans out there, Bassmaster is making some waves! The organization will soon be moving its corporate headquarters to a spacious new spot at 31 Inverness Center. This means a new home for their team that organizes fishing tournaments and events for over half a million members. They’ll certainly be bringing a splash of excitement to the area!
Change is also happening on the financial front, with America’s First Federal Credit Union announcing that Kevin Morris will step in as the new president and CEO. He takes over from Bill Connor after his impressive 44-year run. Congratulations, Kevin!
And speaking of transitions, First US Bank has welcomed a fresh face to its board, Robert C. Field, known for his involvement in various boards around Jefferson County. It’s always nice to see local businesses revamping their leadership!
As we look forward to new openings, let’s also cheer for already established local spots that are celebrating milestones. Pet Paradise is one year old and offers fantastic services for your furry friends. Additionally, Studio 280 and FARM Haus Fitness are also celebrating their first years of service to the community. These businesses have made a mark and are here to stay!
And don’t forget about Salt Clothing Company and Beauty Diva, both of which have also celebrated their first anniversary this year, showcasing fashion and beauty supplies that everyone loves. We encourage you to show your support by visiting these wonderful local businesses.
So, Chelsea, there you have it! From shiny cars and tasty eats to expanding healthcare services and flourishing local businesses, our community is bustling with life and opportunity. Let’s get excited for what’s to come, support our local entrepreneurs, and embrace each new adventure!
