Birmingham Transforms with A Week Full Of Exciting Events

Birmingham, Alabama – This vibrant city is housed to a variety of dynamic entertainment and community events happening this week, from cinema showcases to community farmer’s markets, storytelling sessions, Comedy Open Mic nights, and more.

The Audacious Birmingham Calendar

Music lovers were enthralled with Chris Brown’s rocking performance on his 11:11 tour at the Legacy Arena and by Jazz trumpeter Jose Carr stirred hearts during his Jazz Jam at True Story Brewing Company. Lovers of suspense enjoyed films at the Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema, with premieres scheduled all week along.

For the bingo lovers, gaming fun began at the Alabama Blazin Bingo held at the Overtime Grill and Bar. Live music nights were not limited to the Legacy Arena. Nick’s Place set feet tapping to the tunes of Michelangelo Skero, D-Ray, What it Do?, Lil Pink & FOF.

The city also saw an exciting blend of American and Irish musical voyage as Pedro the Lion performed at Saturn. More blues lovers took an exciting journey during the 3rd Thursday Blues Jam at True Story Brewing.

Food was served with guffaws at the Real Funny BHM Comedy Open Mic night, which was organised at the same venue.

More Food, More Fun

More culinary delights were savored all over town. With places like Water Mark in Bessemer hosting food box distribution, Birmingham’s gastronomic scene was alive and kicking.

Water infused with fresh fruits was offered by Birmingham Water Works at its Hydrate the City event at Veteran’s Park. Some refreshments were available at the Luau Nightmarket at Ross Bridge Farmers Market as well.

Community on the Move

Seamless community contributions were seen in the weekly storytime sessions at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The Legacy Water Bar in Bessemer continued with its free food boxes giveaway event. The Diaper Giveaway was organized at the Titusville Library, providing many families with relief.

Saturday Surprises

For shoppers seeking fresh products, The Bessemer Farmers Market and Birdsong Farmers Market had their doors wide open on Saturday morning, offering a variety of organic goods irresistible to locals.

The Birmingham Band Stand event at The Nick had a great response from the audience. The city saw a spark of arts and creation when Amy Anderson showcased her art at the Artist Pop-up event at LeSho Market.

Sunday Unwind

The weekend closed with soul food Sundays at the 1918 Catering place, offering a repose with their delicious menu. The community was wrapped in spiritual calm at events such as the Worship at The Sixth and the City Wide Prayer Meeting.
