Fans of DMB will be thrilled to know that the band has a rich history of performances in Alabama. They first played in the Birmingham area way back on October 15, 1994, at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater, where they opened for Phish. That same day, DMB put on an in-store concert at Magic Platter, showcasing their early passion for live music. Since then, they have returned to perform at various venues, including The Wharf in Orange Beach and Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville. With this new amphitheater, fans can look forward to a fresh, exhilarating experience!
Before Birmingham, the band will kick off their tour on April 27, 2025, at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and will continue performing until August 31, 2025. The tour promises to be a jam-packed journey that includes several festival appearances, two-night performances in Noblesville, Indiana, and Richmond, Virginia, along with a long-awaited return to the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. This tour will be DMB’s only set of shows for the entire year—definitely a treat for die-hard fans.
While DMB is known for their incredible music, they also shine in their commitment to social responsibility. The band has pledged a whopping $500,000 to support wildfire relief efforts in California through their nonprofit, Bama Works. Their mission doesn’t stop there; DMB has consistently partnered with organizations like The Nature Conservancy and Reverb to promote environmentally sustainable practices. Together, they have accomplished a remarkable feat: planting a total of six million trees since their partnership began in 2020.
The Coca-Cola Amphitheater is set to be a game-changer for Birmingham with a seating capacity of 9,380. As the first concert draws near, the excitement in the air is palpable.
