Partnership Acquires Birmingham’s The Cookie Place, Eyes Expansion

Front Range Holdings to Enhance Portfolio with Great American Cookie Outlet

In Birmingham, a major business development has occurred that promises to add a fresh dimension to the city’s dining scene. An established dining franchise partnership, Front Range Holdings, has acquired The Cookie Place, a renowned franchisee of more than 60 Great American Cookie locations across the region. The exact terms of the deal, however, are not currently public.

A Sweet Beginning

The Cookie Place, which had its first foray into the franchisee business in 1983, opened its first store in Birmingham. It has since become an integral part of the area, known for its robust variety of delicious cookies. With this acquisition, Front Range Holdings announced that it will not only maintain the existing staff but also expand the product lineup and scout new locations.

Personal Connections and Plans for Future

The deal holds a personal connection for Wyatt Batchelor, a Birmingham native, and co-founder and partner of MBN Brands, the owner of Front Range Holdings. Batchelor is a graduate of Pizitz Middle and Vestavia High School and shares an emotional bond with The Cookie Place. He expressed his delight at integrating Great American Cookie into the Front Range family, considering it an enhancement to their existing portfolio.

“This acquisition not only enhances our portfolio but also connects me personally to a city and a brand that I deeply care about. We look forward to innovating with Great American Cookie, delighting our customers, and celebrating the sweet moments in life,” Batchelor explained.

The Way Forward

Front Range Holdings’ acquisition presents significant potential for The Cookie Place’s future. With plans to expand the product lineup, customers can expect new and innovative offerings from the popular cookie outlet. The scouting for new locations also suggests an expansion of The Cookie Place’s operations, indicating an exciting phase of growth for the company.

Undoubtedly, this strategic move reiterates Front Range Holdings’ investment in Birmingham’s growth and diversification, adding a new layer to the city’s existing culinary scene. As it stands, both Front Range Holdings and The Cookie Place seem set on a path of growth, bringing more sweet moments to the residents of Birmingham and beyond.
