More Busking Coming to Downtown Birmingham

More Busking Coming to Downtown Birmingham

Music will be filling Birmingham’s downtown streets as economic development non-profit, REV Birmingham, launches Live on 20th, a high-quality event introducing a host of local performers and musicians. The program will be held on Wednesdays: June 19 and 26 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, situated on the corner of 20th Street and 3rd Avenue North, in front of the Cochran Firm.

REV Birmingham

REV Birmingham has focused on the revitalization of Downtown Birmingham, making it a more exciting destination. The non-profit organization has provided numerous enhancements in the region, such as repaving crosswalks, setting up new seating arrangements, constructing bike lanes, painting light fixtures, fixing trip hazards, and introducing new plantation. With the new Live on 20th initiative, Downtown Birmingham is set to receive a stimulating new edge.

Expectations

Patrons can look forward to a diverse array of buskers showcasing their talents and adding a hint of fun to the civic area. REV Birmingham aims to establish a superior busking culture in Downtown Birmingham by providing a platform for these local performers.

“We want to be there for the community and create a high-quality busking culture in Downtown Birmingham. Busking is usually undertaken by the musicians themselves, because most venues and events are seeking more established performers. The Live on 20th event is unique because we are providing a space for Buskers to perform and interact without having to do it all on their own.” – Jamie Haas, REV Birmingham Communications Manager

Experience

This unique experience elevates the public’s mood throughout the seasonal months. Along with talented musicians, each performer will be accompanied by a dessert vendor. Hence, attendees at Live on 20th are in for a double treat.

“Nothing is better than sweet tunes and sweet treats on 20th St. It is a positive experience and a vibrant place to be.” – Jamie Haas, REV Birmingham Communications Manager

This new initiative offers an exceptional medium for the musicians to interact with the audience and adds a dynamic charm to the existing vibrancy of Downtown Birmingham. If you are keen on applying to perform as a busker at the Live on 20th event, REV Birmingham encourages interested performers to check out their website for more information.

Conclusion

Downtown Birmingham is about to become even more exciting with the addition of Live on 20th. As you plan your visit, ensure you also plan time to dig into some sweet treats and enjoy a variety of music, all while enriching the local community.
