A proud native of Alabama, Brandi McClaran is a name you’ll want to remember. With more than a decade’s worth of experience under her belt, McClaran has dazzled audiences with her exceptional vocal talents and theatrical prowess. Though she’s taken on various roles, some of her favorites include the quirky Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, the spirited Medda Larkin from Newsies, and the unforgettable Grandma Tzeitel in Fiddler On The Roof. This savvy soprano has trained under some seriously impressive coaches, including the talented Adrienne Lankford, John Ray, and Linda Eder, who was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her work in Jekyll & Hyde. Additionally, she learned from the legendary Diane McNaron, an opera sensation whose legacy continues to inspire.
Recently, McClaran made a significant career shift, retiring from her role in Corporate Human Resources to pursue her passion for the arts. Now, she shares her talent and knowledge with budding vocalists of all ages at her very own Brandi McClaran Vocal Studio. In addition to her teaching, she’s also the Board President and Theatre Arts Chair/Director of the Leeds Arts Council, where she has directed a variety of musicals over the past three years, including the delightful She Loves Me and the spine-tingling Addams Family: The Musical, among others.
McClaran’s passion for the performing arts is evident in everything she undertakes, and her upcoming cabaret performance is sure to be no exception. Expect a fantastic evening of vocal talent that is bound to leave you wanting more!
To further elevate the night, McClaran will be joined by the talented Kevin Grigsby on the piano. Grigsby is no stranger to performance, having participated in the amateur Van Cliburn competition in 2016 where he competed among 72 talented musicians on an international stage. With combined forces, McClaran and Grigsby promise an awe-inspiring experience that will resonate well with the audience.
