A defining moment struck him hard when he learned of the tragic passing of his 2-year-old daughter, A’neJah, during his incarceration. “That was my wake-up call,” he reflects. “I needed to channel my pain into something meaningful.”

Williams started rapping in eighth grade, inspired by freestyle battles in his hometown. While he initially gravitated towards negative themes in his lyrics, a challenge from his late brother pushed him to refine his voice, leading him to write more positive and empowering songs. “Challenge accepted,” he chuckled, acknowledging that this shift became a hallmark of his later work.

A Family Life Reshaped

Now living in Birmingham’s East Lake area with his wife, Erin “Malachite” Williams, who also runs the Crescent Cultural Community Center, and their 9-year-old daughter A’neJah, he feels his life is aligned perfectly. “God brought my baby girl back around to me 22 years later, when I was ready for her,” Williams shares joyfully. “My family is my dream.”

The couple is deeply involved in their community, with Erin even serving as a trauma-informed certified yoga instructor. Together, they are dedicated to making a positive impact on the youth and families of Birmingham, encapsulating the essence of hope and transformation.
