Birmingham city is set to host an array of exciting events from May 17 to May 19. From fun farmer’s markets, concerts and shows, to the annual Do Dah Day, Birmingham city has the right mix of events to keep everyone entertained. Add in some fitness, food and drinks for a weekend full of promise.

1. Storytime at the Gardens @ Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Starting on Friday, May 17 at 10 AM, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is geared up to host Storytime at the Gardens. This event aims to foster a love for reading in preschoolers with an engaging storytime session followed by a engaging nature-centric activity. This event is free of charge, with registration required.

2. Dvorak’s Cello Concerto & Brahms’ First Symphony @ UAB’s Alys Stephens Center – Jemison Concert Hall

On Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18 at 7 PM, Sterling Elliot, an acclaimed cellist will perform Dvork’s powerful Cello Concerto in B minor. The Alabama Symphony Orchestra will also perform Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. Ticket prices start from $10.
