BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In news that is of significant importance to business owners in Birmingham, the city authorities have announced the transition to a new tax software as an endeavor to streamline the tax processes for businesses. This alteration to the existing system is predicted to influence nearly 35,000 businesses operating within the city.
The Birmingham city officials, in collaboration with HdL Companies, are hopeful that this new software will result in enhanced customer support and an efficient tax administration for the businesses residing in Birmingham. The system additionally provides business owners the convenience to make payments through e-checks. The registration window for this new system was opened recently and all existing businesses must sign up by 6th September. Failing to comply with this date could result in a considerable waste of time on future occasions.
Yolanda Lawson, Birmingham Tax Collections Manager, further clarified the implications of missing this deadline. “If you don’t register by September sixth, then you will lose your ability to make and remit payments online, as well as renew your business license online,” she stated. The existing business owners are thus urged to finish registrations without delay. Individuals who are starting new businesses will still need to register in person with the city.
You can kick start the registration process for your existing business here. Remember the date – September 6th, is the ultimate deadline to register your business in Birmingham’s new tax software. Ensure to make the most of this incredible opportunity to scale your business without any tax complexities.
