Birmingham, Alabama — A shooting incident late Tuesday evening has left one person injured and raised concerns among local residents. The Birmingham Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 11:18 p.m. at the intersection of Parkway East and Huffman Road, involving an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles.
According to police, the confrontation between the occupants of the two vehicles led to multiple gunshots being fired in the area. As a result, three nearby unoccupied businesses were struck by gunfire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to bystanders or individuals inside the businesses at the time of the shooting.
The victim, who suffered a non-life-threatening injury, was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released any information regarding the identity of the injured person.
Following the incident, police confirmed that the shooter fled the scene. As of now, there is no one in custody, and authorities are actively searching for leads.
