1. Black Market Bar + Grill | Avondale

Black Market Bar + Grill has officially relocated from its Five Points location to Avondale after 12 years, taking over the former Avondale Common House building. Featuring crafted cocktails, late-night eats, and Sunday brunch, this unique bar is now open at 4100 3rd Ave S, Birmingham.

2. Lilly & Daisy Bakery | Roebuck

Sweet confections abound at the Lilly & Daisy Bakery, which just opened its newest location in Roebuck. This delightful shop offers cupcakes, pound cakes, and custom decorated cakes for various events at 500 Gene Reed Rd, Birmingham.

3. Black Leaf Cigar Co. | West Birmingham

West Birmingham welcomes the latest addition to its business landscape – the Black Leaf Cigar Company. This locally-owned high-end cigar lounge offers a plush environment to enjoy premium imported cigars at 1509 3rd Ave W, Birmingham.

4. Dear Emmaline | Vestavia Hills

Right in the heart of Vestavia City Center, Dear Emmaline is a one-stop boutique for all things cute for your little ones. Starting online in 2017, the retailer has since established a brick-and-mortar outlet, stocked with children’s clothing, accessories, and toys at 628 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills.

5. Walker County Park | Jasper

United Way of Central Alabama, along with their volunteer program Hands On, recently opened the Walker County Park in Jasper. Celebrating the United Way’s 100-year anniversary, this third of six centennial parks includes BBQ grills, gardens, a learning pavilion for kids, pickleball courts, swings, and a walking track. 6. Terrific New Theatre | Downtown Birmingham

After a four-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Terrific New Theatre (TNT) is making a comeback with a newly renovated building and an exciting 2024-2025 theatrical season. The theatre purchased the former Alabama Auction Room building in 2023 as its new home. The theatre, located at 2112 5th Avenue North, Birmingham, plans to open its doors at the end of 2024.
