Since 2015, Japanese companies have announced plans for nearly $5 billion in new investments and commitments to create over 8,000 jobs in Alabama, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce. Ellen McNair, Alabama’s Secretary of Commerce, highlighted how Japanese businesses have played an essential role in the state’s economic success.
“With more than 80 Japanese companies operating here, their impact extends beyond investments,” McNair stated. “They deliver high-quality jobs and innovative technologies, helping to ensure that Alabama remains a competitive destination in the global market.” What a testament to the relationship!
