Teen Girl And Two Men Arrested For Birmingham Homicide Captured Via Livestream

Following a violent brawl and shootout at Birmingham’s Monarch Ridge apartment complex, a teen girl and two men have been arrested in the livestreamed killing of a 21-year-old mother, Asia Alyce Poole.

The Incident

The deadly incident was broadcasted live on Facebook videos earlier this week. The suspected culprits, identified as Justin Jamond Hendrix, 20, and Taylor McCloud, 22, are pending charges of murder in relation to Poole’s death and the attempted murder of her friend, who fortunately survived the spray of bullets.

The third suspect, Janiyah Hendrix, 19, who allegedly engaged in a skirmish with Poole moments before the shooting, is facing charges of first-degree auto theft. According to authorities, she absconded in Poole’s car amidst the confusion, which was later found abandoned.

The Scene Of The Crime

Primordial accounts indicate an ongoing dispute between Poole and Janiyah Hendrix, which escalated into a full-blown brawl and subsequent shooting late Tuesday night. The developing confrontation, starting near Poole’s vehicle in the parking lot, then spreading to a breezeway in the apartment complex, was shockingly broadcasted live to Facebook users, who witnessed the fatal gunfire that ensued.

Aftermath Of The Tragedy

Responding quickly to calls of a shooting at approximately 10 p.m., Birmingham authorities arrived at the chaotic scene to find Poole lifeless near her apartment building. Declared dead at the scene at 10:31 p.m., Poole leaves behind a young child who just commenced pre-kindergarten.

The heartbreaking aftermath captured in videos reveals the devastating cries of Poole’s siblings, adding to the appalling nature of the crime. Her friend, who managed to survive the shooting, was rushed to UAB Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, and has since been discharged.

The Investigation

Upon further scrutiny, investigators believe multiple people were involved in the shooting, and the altercation seemed premeditated. Witnesses account for masked perpetrators armed with assault-type rifles and firearms with Glock switches, firing at least 168 bullets in various directions. Investigation into the tragic event is currently ongoing.

Appeal To The Public

Cognizant of the high likelihood of more individuals being involved in the fatal shooting, Birmingham authorities are earnestly appealing to anyone with additional information or footage of the incident to get in touch with detectives at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

A horrifying reality of our time, the incident has left the Birmingham community in shock, as all residents grapple with its aftermath. Implications of the crime go beyond the perpetrators and victims, as the community must now come to terms with such a heinous act destroying a young woman’s life, all alarmingly documented live on social media.
