Few other Southern cities can compare to Alabama’s largest metropolitan area, which takes visitors on a fascinating, sobering, and eye-opening journey through the Civil War era.
At the moment, Birmingham is recovering the alluring Magic City moniker that once made it famous and putting itself back in the tourism spotlight. Anyone who has visited (or lived in) this dynamic city before can attest to the fact that it is full of surprises. From its boisterous sports crowds and insightful museums to its stunning inner-city nature, vibrant Theater District, and proximity to the Appalachian Mountains, the selection of things to do in Bir is diverse.
When you combine some of the greatest motorcycle collections in history with commanding statues, a ton of trendy rooftop bars, and undiscovered breweries, you have yourself a very deserving location.
