Birmingham Celebrates 50 Years of Entertainment at BJCC Concert Hall
Birmingham, AL – The 50th anniversary celebration of the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) Concert Hall and Theatre is set to take place on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This joyous occasion will unfold in the plaza outside the Concert Hall, inviting all members of the community to partake in the festivities. This year marks a significant milestone for the venue, which first opened its doors on October 3, 1974.

Over the decades, the BJCC Concert Hall has hosted a plethora of notable performances from legendary artists such as Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen, Kirk Franklin, and Kevin Hart. Beyond the immediate festivities, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the rich offerings of the BJCC, which includes two exhibition halls covering 220,000 square feet for trade shows and exhibitions, along with various entertainment venues such as a concert hall, stadium, and the state’s largest arena.
