As Birmingham embraces the warmer weather, it’s the perfect time to have your garden ready for spring. Here, we present an array of plant sales happening around town, and local shops to help you spring into the season.
1. Birmingham Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale
Firstly, you must not miss out on the plant sale at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Hundreds of plants will be made available for purchase. The proceeds of the sale will go towards supporting the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Garden’s mission to protect, nurture, and showcase the wonders of the botanical garden. Remember to bring your portable carts and wagons as the payment methods accepted are checks and cards.
2. Ruffner Mountain Greenhouse Annual Plant Sale
Ruffner Mountain’s annual plant sale is your opportunity to shop unique plants, including Cherokee Sedge, Black-eyed Susan, and Woodland Phlox, throughout every Saturday in April.
3. Aldridge Gardens Plant Sale
Own a part of Aldridge Gardens by buying a pass-along plant. Volunteers and gardeners will be available to assist with selections and dispense advice on placement, care, and maintenance. The star of the show is their “Snowflake” hydrangea.
